Celebrating Workplace Wellbeing Champions: Highlights from the 2024 Great British Workplace Wellbeing Awards.

Britain’s most inspiring workplace wellbeing heroes were crowned at the Park Plaza, Riverbank, London at the Grand Final of The 2024 Great British Workplace Wellbeing Awards with Wellity.

Wellity, in collaboration with Niki Dowdall of GRC World Forums, initiated the Awards to spotlight those positively impacting the lives of the Great British Workforce. The judging panel consisting of esteemed experts, selected winners across 25 categories, with two outstanding organisations earning top honours. With over 150 finalists shortlisted the event showcased the remarkable achievements of individuals, service providers, and employers in addressing the global wellbeing crisis.

Samantha Cartwright was bestowed with the prestigious title of The Great British Workplace Wellbeing Hero of the Year, while the South Western Ambulance NHS clinched The Great British Workplace Wellbeing Company of the Year Award.

Sadie and Simon hosted the Gala 

The Gala final, hosted by Sadie Restorick and Simon Scott-Nelson, co-founders of Wellity, marked the culmination of the Awards’ mission to recognise and champion the extraordinary efforts made by employers, service providers, and individuals in the pursuit of improved wellbeing.

Reflecting on the evening, Sadie Restorick expressed her honour in being part of such an inspiring event, celebrating the dedication of those committed to enhancing workplace wellbeing. She remarked, “It was an honour to be part of such a special and inspiring event, celebrating the hard work and dedication of those passionate about improving wellbeing in the workplace.

“Witnessing such joy and pride, in a room filled with wonderful people making a tangible difference, gives a compelling message of hope and reminds us all that with unwavering commitment, perseverance, and purpose, we can drive change for the better.”

Simon Scott-Nelson added, “It was a privilege to co-host the 2024 Great British Workplace Wellbeing Awards and experience the immense power of unity, selflessness, and altruism among such wonderful people. The stories behind the applications were heart-warming, compelling and all highly worthy of praise, with people coming together in the joint pursuit of improving the working lives of their colleagues.”

“These Awards are a special celebration of personal journeys, collaborative teamwork, and impassioned leadership, which make people feel motivated and inspired to help others around them feel better every day.”

The ceremony provided an opportunity for guests to connect with like-minded individuals who share passion for workplace wellbeing. Both hosts highlighted the immense power of unity, selflessness, and altruism among the attendees, emphasising the heart-warming and compelling stories behind the applications.
