ISO 45003 with Wellity Global

Wellity are delighted to announce that we are now able to offer the ISO 45003 in partnership with QMS International.

In its 2019-20 report, the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) revealed some worrying results regarding mental health at work. According to its research, 51% of cases of new and long-standing work-related ill health were due to stress, depression or anxiety. This had a huge impact on business as it resulted in the loss of 17.9 million working days.

Published in June 2021, ISO 45003 is a set of guidelines for managing psychosocial risks in the workplace. It was put together by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) as a result of increased research on the negative impact of psychosocial risks on workers.

It was developed so that organisations of all sizes can implement processes that aim to protect their workers from psychological hazards and to provide them with support for their mental health and well-being. This will help more workplaces build a positive working environment that improves organisational resilience and enhances productivity and staff retention.

What are the benefits?

Putting measures in place to support the mental health of your team can give your business great benefits.

Improve Organisational Resilience – With better risk management and a strong support network, organisations will be able to adapt to stressful situations whilst maintaining the mental health of their employees.

Reduced Absenteeism – With processes in place to support employee mental health, you can help to reduce absenteeism and the time needed for employees to regain their mental fitness.

Improved Diversity, Recruitment and Retention – By having processes in place to support employees, organisations can retain a diverse workforce and make their workplace more attractive for potential recruits.

Safer Remote Working and Out-of-Hours Work – With the help of the Standard, employers can develop processes to protect workers who don’t work in the organisation’s buildings or during usual working hours.

Legal Compliance – It is a legal requirement for employers to protect workers and have risk assessments in place to protect their wellbeing. The ISO 45003 ensures this requirement is met.

Wellity are delighted to be partnering with QMS International, established in 1993 they have over 50 consultants and auditors nationwide with a wealth of business experience.

Oliver Higenbottam, Managing Director at QMS, said:
