ISO 45003 with Wellity Global

Wellity proudly announce our partnership with QMS International to offer ISO 45003 certification.

The HSE (Health and Safety Executive) revealed concerning results in its 2019-20 report on mental health at work. Their research found that 51% of work-related ill health cases stemmed from stress, depression, or anxiety, resulting in the loss of 17.9 million working days.

Published in June 2021, ISO 45003 provides guidelines for managing psychosocial risks in the workplace. The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) developed these guidelines due to increased research on the negative impact of psychosocial risks on workers.

It was developed so that organisations of all sizes can implement processes that aim to protect their workers from psychological hazards. To provide them with support for their mental health and well-being. This will enable more workplaces to cultivate a positive working environment, thereby enhancing organisational resilience, productivity, and staff retention.

What benefits does it offer?

Putting measures in place to support the mental health of your team can give your business great benefits.

Improve Organisational Resilience – Organisations will be able to adapt to stressful situations whilst maintaining the mental health of their employees.

Reduced Absenteeism – You can help to reduce absenteeism and the time needed for employees to regain their mental fitness.

Improved Diversity, Recruitment and Retention – Organisations can retain a diverse workforce and make their workplace more attractive for potential recruits.

Safer Remote Working and Out-of-Hours Work – Employers can develop processes to protect workers who don’t work in the organisation’s buildings or during usual working hours.

Legal Compliance – It is a legal requirement for employers to protect workers and have risk assessments in place to protect their wellbeing. The ISO 45003 ensures this requirement is met.

Wellity are delighted to be partnering with QMS International. Established in 1993 they have over 50 consultants and auditors nationwide with a wealth of business experience.

Oliver Higenbottam, Managing Director at QMS, said:
