Employee training
Mental Health Champions
Description
The Mental Health Champions course, based on principles from the Mental Health First Aid full programme, equips individuals with the knowledge and skills to promote mental health awareness and wellbeing within their organisation. Participants will learn to recognise mental health conditions, understand their signs and symptoms, and develop effective communication techniques to engage with colleagues who may be struggling.
This one-day course is ideal for individuals or organisations seeking a more accessible, time-efficient alternative to the traditional two-day Mental Health First Aid training. It offers a high-level, yet practical overview, making it perfect for those who want to take meaningful action without the time commitment of a full qualification. By the end of the course, participants will have a toolkit of resources and strategies to act as mental health champions, advocate for mental health initiatives, and cultivate a culture of openness, support, and psychological safety in the workplace.
