Description
Diversity, inclusion and equity are all crucial in creating a thriving, healthy, and innovative work environment. However, despite increased awareness and understanding, marginalised groups still experience discrimination and prejudice in the workplace.
To address this issue, the Active Allies programme was created to empower individuals to become proactive allies for their colleagues and create an environment that is welcoming and inclusive to everyone.

Objectives
Module 1: Understanding Inclusion and Diversity
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the nine dimensions of diversity, including gender and gender identity, cultural diversity, ethnicity, race and more.
- Recognise how these diverse dimensions intersect and contribute to unique experiences and challenges faced by marginalised groups.
- Enhance the ability to identify and challenge prejudice and bias across various dimensions of diversity.
Module 2: Cultural and Intersectional Competence
- Learn specific actions that can be taken to support colleagues from different marginalised groups.
- Develop strategies for responding to and addressing instances of bias and discrimination in the workplace.
- Enhance abilities to engage in compassionate conversations that foster understanding and respect.
- Gain knowledge of cultural nuances and legislation for building equitable workplaces.
